To me, this quote captures the essence of therapy and answers some of the most common questions: What is therapy? Do I need it? Why should I be in it? This is the place to begin. When we find ourselves in darkness—overwhelmed by depression or anxiety, feeling helpless, stuck, or losing hope—it’s easy to forget that we’re not alone. I believe deeply in the inner depth, uniqueness, and complexity of each human being. Therapy offers a space to reconnect with that truth and rediscover clarity, meaning, and direction.
