So many of us grew up learning to keep it together for everyone else. Maybe you’ve said yes when you meant no, or found yourself in the same argument with your partner, wondering how you got there. On the outside, you’re dependable, the one people lean on. But inside, you might feel anxious, tired, or unsure of who you are. I believe those patterns of people-pleasing, perfectionism, and disconnecting were never flaws, but the ways you learned to stay safe when you needed it most. They helped you survive, but now they may be leaving you feeling disconnected, resentful, or unsure of how to care for yourself.
