It is my view that the real question is "what has happened in your life that has impacted your beliefs about yourself and your ability to cope with stressful life events"? You may notice that you seem to automatically react to situations in a way that you don't necessarily choose and question if you will ever be able to change. If you have experienced highly stressful and/or traumatic events then you will benefit from a therapeutic approach that mindfully explores your personal experiences and strengthens your resiliency to respond rather than react.
