I recognize the importance of insight-oriented psychotherapy combined with actionable skills training to alter problem behaviors and cognitive distortions more effectively. The dialectic of acceptance and change is the foundation for my clinical work to support clients in developing a clearer sense of self, learning how to manage emotions in a healthy way, accepting the highs and lows of life without impulsive action, and creating and improving healthy relationships. Utilizing mindfulness as a core foundation to alter unhealthy behaviors, I encourage practicing awareness in the present moment to decrease daily suffering.
