You have been working very hard. Whether that is with making sure to perform well at school, creating a fulfilling career, and making meaning and purpose a strong pursuit of yours - you may have succeeded in many ways. However, it's hard to slow down, or one day when somehow things get really still, the anxiety, sadness or flashbacks come up. People may notice how well you are doing on the outside, which may even invalidate or create a sense of shame or failure for how things feel inside. This way of experiencing may have been helpful and adaptive, but now when moving onto the next phase - it might feel like it's holding you back.
