It’s overwhelming when nothing feels safe, worrying about your life here in Canada and the well-being of your family abroad. Maybe you’ve been met with prejudgment and discrimination in the past, where shame, guilt, anxiety, and stress have become the norm. With so many expectations and demands, it all feels too much. You know deep down there must be someone who can guide you, someone who understands. I’m so glad you’re here. When I immigrated to Canada, I confronted my intergenerational trauma; I felt confused and very alone. I know what it’s like to grapple with identity, belonging, and the pressure of cultural expectations.
