Kate Best earned her Master of Science in Social Work degree at Columbia University in New York City. Her training has focused on mental health and addictions treatment in a multitude of settings. Upon completion of her Masters Degree, Kate became a founding clinician at a dual diagnosis treatment centre in New York City.
