My name is John, I have been practicing counseling since 2001, have a Bachelor's degree in Human Development, a Master's degree in Mental Health, and am a certified CASAC (substance abuse counselor) in NY. I specialize in bereavement, trauma, anxiety/depression, and addiction counseling. I also work with couples to resolve conflict. I utilize a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy/Patient-Centered approach. This means I listen to you to help you challenge irrational beliefs so you can develop the tools to become your own healer. I understand that change is a process that does not magically occur overnight.
