People around you see you as capable, responsible, and “together” —yet internally feel driven by constant self-criticism, pressure, or emotional exhaustion. If you strongly identify with busyness, being a "doer", or often feel like you say yes when you want to say no. Some people close to you might even call you a people pleaser. If you feel like you are "over-functioning", burning out or constantly exhausted because you are always minimizing your own needs to support others. Many people I work with learn this pattern very early on. They learned that to be of value or to survive meant sacrificing themselves for others, or the job.
