Creating an emotionally safe environment, for a client of any age, is crucial in fostering personal insight and behavioral change. As a LCSW in both New York and New Jersey and with over 20 years of experience, I have found a strong therapeutic alliance as well as a CBT/Psychodynamic approach can help individuals understand how their thoughts and perceptions impact their emotions and behaviors. I have extensive experience treating children and adolescents. For years, I traveled into elementary, middle and high schools to provide individual and group therapy. Currently, I combine play-therapy with CBT to provide lasting change.
