Trauma is defined as an experience that overwhelms the person's ability to cope at the time of the experience. This can range from being bullied as a child, divorce or loss of a job, and the more classically understood life-threatening events (natural disasters, war, near-death experience). I'm am trained to deal with not only accute and recent trauma resulting in flashbacks and nightmares (reliving experiences) but also in childhood developmental, sexual, and complex trauma which have more complex impacts on how we cope daily, our personality, beliefs, everything in between. Let's make changes together.
