My clients usually come to therapy for relief from their mental health symptoms. They are often feeling overwhelmed, have been thinking about making changes for a long time and are feeling stuck in how to move forward. Together we look at the issues, explore how it is impacting their lives, and come up goals and a treatment plan. This treatment plan includes learning more about your mental health, gaining new skills and strategies that you will carry with you long after therapy ends, and finally practicing a language of self-compassion to replace unhelpful/critical thinking.
