Debra Riggs

About

Debra has over 33 years of experience at McMaster Children’s Hospital, working in a clinical setting with children, youth, parents and families. She is a sought-after clinician because of her expertise in interviewing and talking with children about challenging topics. She has been involved in the assessment, treatment and advocacy for children and families with complex needs and experiences, including trauma, maltreatment and mental health issues. In addition, she has coached parents, foster parents to learn the gift of listening, talking, and understanding a childs’ and parents' perspective.
