If you grew up in a religious community that told you that being queer was wrong, the wounds from that experience are real. I specialize in working with LGBTQ+ individuals who have experienced spiritual abuse from home or church, and use EMDR to process trauma that talk therapy alone cannot reach. I also counsel special-needs children, particularly on the autism scale. I can assist in increasing communication, as well as decreasing the negative behaviors that stem from your child's frustration and anxiety. I help parents with how to prepare and advocate for their children in IEP meetings.
