I hope my profile serves as a refreshing page to the person reading. The way I see it, Anxiety and Depression often result from unmet or neglected needs. In the absence of certainty and confidence, there's Anxiety. In the absence of a satisfying reality, there's Depression. Just like when we don't have balance in our life, we get overwhelmed and fall victim to burnout. If our basic and more complex needs aren't met, we experience painful emotions and negative thoughts. To deal with these unwanted thoughts and feelings, we may engage in behaviors that seem to work for us, that may eventually become more harmful than helpful.
