Pregnancy and the postpartum period can be a joyous, fulfilling time for some women. For many others, it is riddled with feelings of depression, anxiety, and confusion. These stressful emotional experiences can be unexpected and unfamiliar, or they can be a return of past symptoms; whatever the case, they interfere with a woman's ability to function and experience daily fulfillment. As a Psychologist and member of Postpartum Support International, I aim to instill hope in women who are suffering that these symptoms are temporary and treatable.
